"Had to make an emergency trip from California to Hilo. My dad was being energency disembarked from a cruise shio where he was near death for 5 days at sea. Fortunately the Holland America medical team were able to keep him alive to Hilo where i met my mom at the ER. Dad is going to make it home eventually. The staff, especially Cindy at the front desk were BEYOND helpful and showed extreme compassion when dealing with my 79 year old mom and making sure she is as taken care of as they could possibly do. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. All we needed was a little confort and quiet after long days at the hospital. The free nightly voucher for a Mai Tai didn't hurt as well. It wasnt a vacation this time, but ill definitely return for one with my wife and kids. Its a very convenient location."

"I love the old Hawaiian look that the Wild Ginger Hotel provides. There were no fancy pictures or decorations but what they did have, gave me a sense of old Hawaii. I enjoyed every bit of staying there and I plan on staying there again."

"One of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in! 10/10! The cottages are amazing, fresh eggs in the morning, fresh fruit on the trees, frogs chirping, a view of the ocean. Stunning. And Randy is the ultimate host, there to answer questions, share stories, and make you feel like you never want to leave! There were even fresh cookies one night in the kitchen for the guests. It’s like the best of staying at an air bnb, in a cottage, with people from all over, and a view that is breathtaking. We are DEFINITELY coming back!"
