Super friendly staff. It's a no frills sort of place-but so homey and sweet. Our family suite was a great size. Working A/C and great to have a kitchen. No TV in the room, but we weren't there to be inside all day-the beach is where it's at. The beach that you can walk to was so perfect for my family. Really enjoyed our stay.

Mike was a great host and gave us easy ideas about entertaining kids. Also directions to find food and other services nearby. The place is like a dormitory, no frills, but everything you need for preparing you own food and getting a good nights rest. It’s an older lodge but everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained. I’d recommend it to friends.

Convenient place to stay for a family

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable stay. Staff was really friendly. Easy check in and check out. Beach towel service was a nice perk. We had the family suite which had a full kitchen with everything one would need to prepare a meal and dine in.

Seems like it was slow season for them when I was, not alot of guests. It was nice and quiet. The process private room was perfect. Overall the stay was excellent.

We enjoyed the relaxed feel and low key atmosphere here! Sad we never got to meet Arnott and were only able to stay one night, if we’re ever in Hilo again we’ll be back!
