Top Monterrey Hotel Reviews
Hotel Los Lagos Spa & Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We had an amazing experience at Las Lagos Hot Springs Resort! This was my second time visiting, and it was the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon. The staff were wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Many seemed bilingual, which was especially appreciated. We even had staff at the springs restaurant recognize us and make us feel right at home. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and it was clear the staff took pride in caring for the property. The food was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was AMAZING with so many options. The hot springs were beautiful and offered plenty of choices for relaxing, privacy, and fun. My husband especially loved the water slide! The spa was incredible. We went twice and each did the relaxing balm massage and volcanic package. The products smelled and felt amazing, and the jungle sounds made the experience so relaxing. My only small complaint is that I wish more attention had been given to the tension in my back, and experienced this both massages I had. Our standard two-bed room was comfortable, with a garden outside and parking right nearby. We could easily walk to the restaurant and spa, and the front desk made booking tours easy. Overall, we felt safe, comfortable, and very well cared for. I would absolutely recommend Las Lagos to family and friends and would happily return again!"
Hotel Lomas del Volcán
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the pool with the volcano view and loved the swim up bar! One of the pools was heated which was amazing. Gorgeous grounds and super friendly staff!"
Nayara Gardens
10/10 Excellent
"As a Costa Rican, I almost never vacation at hotels locally. Too often, the domestic hospitality scene feels pretty average—or frankly underwhelming—for what you end up paying, so my expectations were cautiously neutral. Nayara Gardens completely proved me wrong. From the second we pulled up, the service was on another level. The staff is warm, dialed-in, and remarkably professional without feeling stiff or scripted. The rooms are stunning, tucked right into the rainforest with total privacy and insane attention to detail. The food across every restaurant was genuinely phenomenal, the spa was pure bliss, and every tour we booked ran like clockwork with guides who actually knew their stuff. It’s rare to find a place that nails every single aspect of the guest experience, but Nayara pulled it off effortlessly. They set a whole new bar for luxury here, and we’re already planning our next stay."
The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal
8/10 Good
"El hotel es espectacular, las área comunes muy bien, pero en los edificios de habitaciones hay aspectos de mantenimiento a mejorar"
Chachagua Rainforest Hotel & Hot Springs
10/10 Excellent
"I loved the peacefullness of the rainforest. The staff was amazing. The only thing that was not great was the food. They should specials on everyday of the week. I asked for eggs over medium and I got hard eggs. The steak tacos had no flavor and the steak was hard. The only good thing that we ate was the skirt steak with mash and they can put more mash on the plate."
Casa Luna Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"This is the place to stay! We had a car and found everything to be very close and easy to get to without it being busy. Parking was easy. The staff was great and the breakfast was delicious! We would stay here again easily"
Baldi Hot Springs Hotel and Spa
