"Short family trip to the beach with the kids before school starts. This place was perfect and the kids loved the pool. It was open until 10pm so we would enjoy our adventures in OBX during the day and spend the evening at the pool. We will definitely be back and will stay here again. The only thing I didn’t like was that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear all the neighbors. "

"What a gem of a place. The view from the waterside rooms is worth every penny! This place had that old school charm and hospitality you don’t get anywhere else these days. Bruce the bartender makes the stay memorable and makes you feel welcome. Book it for the views, stay for the stories, and enjoy the tiki bar and pool. I will be coming back next year. Such a memorable trip with this place. Bonus is the water sports are just outside the hotel and you get free access to the huge gym facility next door. "

It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. "
