Nestled in Canada’s Laurentian Mountains is an alpine resort that has year-round outdoor adventures,  picturesque landscapes and music festivals.

Alpine adventures, music festivals, mountain golf courses and a picturesque village make Mont-Tremblant one of Canada’s most-loved vacation destinations. Situated within the Laurentian Mountains, in southern Quebec, the family-friendly resort attracts adventure seekers and nature lovers alike.

Mont-Tremblant is about 93 miles (150 kilometers) from both Montreal and Ottawa. Direct flights arrive at the local airport from New York and Toronto, among other destinations. Many visitors fly to Montreal and travel to Mont-Tremblant with public transport or rental car.

The resort at Mont-Tremblant offers excellent skiing opportunities for all ages and abilities. Between November and April you can ride 95 scenic trails spread over four mountain faces. Ski or snowboard down the slopes and ice skate on the mountain lake. Join a free guided mountain tour to discover the hidden treasures and history of the Laurentian Mountains.

After the snow has melted, explore sprawling green valleys and tranquil lakes. Go mountain biking or rock climbing then zip-line through a forest canopy. Kayak to secluded river beaches or try wakeboarding and waterskiing on Lake Tremblant. Spend the day at Aquaclub la Source, where the whole family can enjoy waterslides and thermal pools.

Golfers will appreciate the 18-hole mountainside courses. Both Golf Le Diable (Le Diable Golf Course) and Golf Le Geant (Le Geant Golf Course) present challenging holes set amid glorious scenery.

To take a break from all the adventurous activities, discover the pedestrian-friendly village at the base of the mountain. Colorful alpine buildings, bars and restaurants, boutiques and galleries line the cobblestone streets. Watch street performers and bands at Place St. Bernard or visit the Casino Mont-Tremblant to get a taste of the local nightlife.

Enjoy live music performances during January’s Electrofest and July’s International Blues Festival. Check the resort’s website to see what is on in Mont-Tremblant during your stay. If you’d rather visit during the low season, come in autumn and witness the breathtaking colors of the fall foliage.
