Staff was friendly, room was clean, bed was comfortable, and everything looked as pictured, but down-rated slightly because a couple of little wall fixtures were broken in the room and the chairs in the room were uncomfortable. BEWARE there is a daily resort fee hiding in the fine print that increases the cost of the room and there was no major amenity like a swimming pool or spa that seemed to justify this. Breakfast was not included in the price of stay.

Boutique hotel that has appeal and is very clean with great location and great staff. Issues are that: 1) bed wasn’t very comfortable: 2) no gym; and 3) incredibly noisy in the morning as there was walking, moving furniture…etc in that apartment right above us. Maybe the staff was cleaning that room. Also tried their restaurant for late afternoon snack. Again, very polite and efficient staff but the charcuterie board was disappointing, and not up to standard for such a place and price. Would consider other options next time.

The basic queen room is tiny. Sheets are scratchy and towels were as well. Elevator dings and you can hear it at the end of the hallway and in your room. Hallways are loud and nothing to absorb sound so you hear everything in your room.

An Absolutely Stunning Stay at Pelican Hotel, Miami South Beach From the moment we entered the Pelican Hotel, we felt the luxury of the art deco period and charm that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The location is unbeatable in the heart of South Beach, perfect for exploring beaches and iconic streets. Design and cleanliness were extraordinary. The retro Miami glamour meets modern sophistication, with every corner pristine. The staff’s friendliness and willingness to help are remarkable, especially Oscar at the reception—an absolute gem and a true asset to the Pelican. Dining exceeded expectations: food is above average and well worth South Beach prices, given the ambience. For a simple, budget-friendly breakfast, there are tasty options too. Valet parking at the entrance is convenient, though priced accordingly. Guests enjoy daily perks: a complimentary cocktail until 7:00 PM and two sun loungers on the beach at no extra charge—great touches. We highly recommend this hotel. Light sleepers may prefer a sea-view-free room, as South Beach nightlife is lively, especially on weekends, but that’s part of the authentic experience. All in all, a fantastic hotel—we’d love to return.

This was quite an unexpected little gem! Oscar was so incredibly nice and each day seemed to almost look for us coming off the elevator to suggest things to do in the area. He gave us recommendations on shopping and where to eat, which did not disappoint! The Mojitos that we got for free happy hour were absolutely amazing! We will definitely stay here again! Oh, and the speakeasy upstairs super cute!

We had a nice stay in the Pelican Hotel. Staff members were great and very helpful! The rooms are not high class but clean. We had to change the room because the first one was too loud for us due to a big machine outside. Unfortunately, we had some issues with the breakfast. We paid a lot for the included breakfast but we had to explain it to the staff every morning. This was exhausting. Also looking at the breakfast prices we could just pay at place and we would have more options and good coffee… In my opinion, the price for the hotel was too high for the offer. You could finde better ones at south beach.

I had not been to Miami Beach in 20 years and loved my stay at the Pelican. EVERYBODY employed by the hotel was awesome. I didn’t get all the names, but I’ll share a few: Julio - awesome bartender. Maria - checked me in and was super-helpful throughout my stay. Japheth - great dinner service. Paolo - made sure breakfast, lunch, dinner, and the overall dining experience was phenomenal. Amenities: dine onsite for a 20% discount late nite. Happy hour is cool with a free drink. Free beach chairs across the street is fantastic. When I go back, I will only go back to see my friends at Pelican.

My recent stay at the Pelican Hotel was nothing short of delightful. The location is truly exceptional — perfectly situated to enjoy the very best of the area. From the moment I arrived, the warm and friendly atmosphere made me feel completely at ease. The service was impeccable. Both room service and management were consistently professional and courteous, with special appreciation to Oscar, whose attentiveness and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. The dining experience was outstanding. Every meal was a pleasure, but the fried octopus deserves special mention — perfectly prepared and absolutely unforgettable. The rooms themselves were a highlight: comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, and each with its own unique design that adds charm and character to the stay. The complimentary cocktails were another memorable touch — expertly made and thoroughly enjoyable. Overall, my time at the Pelican Hotel was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I look forward to returning and will gladly book again without hesitation.
