"Wonderful layout for an extended family. Has some of those b-n-b like amenities, which was super helpful. Breakfast is solid and included hot food (think omelette, hash browns and sausage). "

"We were very pleased with our stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and the building was kept up well.
I hadn’t realized it was a hostel when I booked but that didn’t make a difference. They made sure sure that our stay was very pleasant. "
"Love the Retro Inn, it’s my go to spot in Cortez, convenient to the downtown shopping/dining area. Always clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and welcoming. "
"If you like a place with some soul & a personal touch, this is for you. It's a vintage building but it's been updated. Our room had a fine view of Sleeping Ute Mountain (I think some don't, not sure). "
"So excited to snag a room at this lodge inside the Mess Verde National Park. The views are amazing. Nice, basic accommodations. The lounge has an outside seating area perfect for enjoying drinks and the views. The restaurant also has great views to go with delicious meals. The trout was amazing. Our server,Brian, did an exceptional job because they were short staffed. This was Oct 2 and the govt shut down had closed the park. We were still able to drive the park and take in the views. Being able to stay there helped soften the blow of not being able to do the Cliff Dwelling tour. "
"Stayed 9-30-25 for 1 night. Had an issue & the Hotel Front Desk Staff worked with us to resolve it expediantly. We were very happy wigh the outcome & appreciated them very much. Room was very nice, clean, spacious & felt very safe. Would recommend."
