「Scott, the front desk manager, was very courteous and helpful. On the downside, the TVs remote systems were both very confusing to use. Simple things like figuring out what channel to turn to ....very complicated, little navigating to find the channel guide! Not exactly like some systems as Holiday Inn or Hilton properties use like DIRECTV.」

「Old style motel on Durango’s main road with southwest decor. I slept in the little “cozy” room filled with a queen size bed which was perfect for my one night stay. Little fridge and electric kettle for tea or pour-over coffee in the room. The office staff was welcoming and helpful. Very clean. 「We loved staying at the Gable House along with our dog. The owners and staff were wonderful. We plan to stay there again. We appreciated the 40 amp EV charging onsite for free. This made our travels very easy. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was also wonderful.」

「Far from Downtown, on the main road (noisy), broken tiles in bathroom, air conditioner loud and did not cool the room much, single-ply toilet paper, no shampoo/conditioner, door lock very difficult to open with actual brass key. Room was clean. Pricepoint was good but not considering the condition. We were disappointed.」

It was so nice to be able to park at the hotel early in the day so we could visit the town and ride the train even though we weren't checking in until later that evening. 「We stayed in a 2 queen bedroom in June 2026. The room was very old fashioned looking with old furniture. The mattresses were like cement. The room had bugs crawling around in the bathroom area and in the tub. We spent a lot of time killing bugs. The microwave was hiding inside a cupboard on a shelf about one inch above the ground. 「Very nice river view in our room. Only issue is that shuttle service not available to and from Airport. There are two shuttles on property but are only used for airport staff and not hotel guests. Even if there was a nominal charge we should have been able to use shuttle as taxi service is very unreliable and lengthy. We waited over an hour at airport for taxi.」

「It’s was the most affordable option, clean, but the bed was not great and you get what you paid for. I liked that it didn’t have carpet, and I liked that the AC blew cold….reminded me of a motel 6 but a little more modernish」
