Not bad just meh. The exterior is overdue for a refresh. Our room was pretty nice aside from a super dated shower/tub. Liked the wood floors in the room. The motel is on a street that is consistently noisy and busy just to turn onto. The location was fine -- saw newer, more updated motels farther south that I would look at next time but if the price was significantly different, I would be okay staying here again.

It was obvious this is an older hotel, with some mold showing through above the shower and the doors looked old, but they had done a good job renovating, and the bathtub and sink were nice and clean.

hotel room was dirty. Air conditioner didn't work and to use a fan. Decided to not stay second night and staff said they gave me a credit in which he charged me a third night then refunded that so I did not get a refund. Absolutely the worst hotel I've stayed in. Do not recommend. Pictures are not as they seem on profile.

I only gave it 5 stars because nobody reads the 2-star reviews, which is what I would have given this hotel. You walk into the "lobby" and see all these "awards" on the wall and start to think that the 1960s-esque exterior is just a facade. Wrong. We got to the room, and it was like a studio apartment. Well, more like a studio of a studio apartment. Somehow, it seemed smaller than a Motel 6. The bed was meh. The pillows were BABY-sized pillows (seriously. They looked like little throw pillows from a couch.) You couldn't open the bathroom door all the way because the sink was in the way. The TV was about a 24" TV that was much too small to really see well while laying in bed. If you sat on the foot end of the bed, well, it was better. Our keys didn't work when we first arrived. Neither one. The room also smelled like cat pee, so we had to open the window for a couple of hours to try to get the smell out of there. It was nigh impossible to make a left-hand turn out of the parking lot due to the amount of traffic on the highway next to the hotel, which made a lot of noise. Anyway, I wouldn't stay here again. For what I paid for the place, I expected better than this.

This property was within walking distance of the Animas River. If you are fully capable, it is walkable to the historic downtown area. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The AC was difficult to operate and I don't think we ever got it running. But in June the mornings are still cool and crisp, so we didn't really need it. The guy who handled our check-in gave serious drill sergeant vibes. When we asked questions about the area, he gave us a snide response. When my husband asked to go to the hot tub (locked area), he was rushed and questioned. The person working in the morning was so much more pleasant.

Property was clean, and well kept. Big bonus points for providing a stocked bike wash station, which was super convenient, and very much appreciated. Location is a bit of a walk from downtown- and along the highway, which would be my only complaint (can't blame the hotel for that).

For an Econo Lodge, this place was nice. My only complaint was the response from staff when I told him our A/C wasn't working. He sarcastically asked..."well, did you turn it on?" Really? Long story short, he agreed and moved us to a better room. So he was forgiven. Lol. Nice continental breakfast.
