「The hotel is very spacious and the rooms are large with high ceilings but modern in all aspects. Had a great view of the library and the area from the windows. There are only a few rooms on each floor, so it felt cozy. Lobby was clean, and large. Be aware that parking is not free and you either park across the street in a public garage or use the one a couple of blocks away. I used the public one and it was about $15/day. 「The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay.」

「The building is in a perfect spot if you want access to restaurants, shops, a casino and walking along the Lake. I was traveling alone as an older female and felt comfortable walking in the downtown area and down by the Lake. It's unfortunate that the hotel doesn't have their own parking lot. 「Reminds me of some of the best hostels I stayed in while traveling in Europe. Super clean, very modern, and a great vibe. Joe was there when we checked in, and was super helpful in helping us get settled. Great retail store below, and a cool looking bar as well (window-shopped the store, didn’t hit the bar). It is a hostel, so be prepared for shared bathrooms, etc., but we expected that and it was all in all a great stay. Will totally stay there again!」

「The hotel was fine. It was clean and comfortable. The curtain in the bedroom wouldn't close so it was very bright in the room by 5:30 am, the TV was also disconnected in the bedroom and the overhead light in the bedroom didn't work. For $300/night I would have expected more.」
