「This property charges premium prices but delivers very little beyond the view. The location overlooking Lake Atitlán is beautiful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. 「The house is dirty, smells humid, dust everywhere, no hot water after 1 minute of shower, no a/c, everything is old and outdated, sheets and towels were stained, it’s in the middle of nowhere in the jungle. We found a scorpion in the bedroom. The only good thing is who manages de property, that service is amazing and will help you get everything organized and scheduled, but the actual property is not at all how it seems in the photos. 「El Picnic was a truly special place to stay on Lake Atitlán. The hosts are wonderful and make the experience along with the beautiful setting. Gabi went above and beyond, from helping coordinate transportation before our arrival to suggesting and arranging unique local experiences during our stay. The pool area is great to relax whether you have kids playing in one end of the pool or adults in the other area. There also two hot tubs that operate on a reservation system. 「The complex was extremely well kept and the room was clean and comfortable. The complex was quite difficult to find even with the provided instructions, we only found it because a local showed us the route. The area has a lot of construction so it is quite loud during the day. The balcony was not used as we had hoped because the drilling was constant all day. Also it would be nice if the balcony had seating. The staff are very quick to respond which was helpful because the toilet did not work...
