We had the most amazing stay at this property! The hotel was insanely beautiful and very well kept. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and accommodated every request we had. Truly have never been so impressed by a hotel. 1000% recommend staying here if you are traveling to Lake Atitlan/San Marcos. They can even help arrange private transfers for you to eliminate stress. I will definitely be back in the future, not one bad thing to say about this hotel!!! Huge thank you to the staff- you truly made this a memorable stay for us!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We went without power for one night due to storms but that was not the hotels fault. There also was a ton of ants and spiders in the bathroom but as it is basically outside that came expected. If you are staying in the dome, be prepared to hear everything that is going on outside till at least 10 at night

Very nice hotel is in a convenient location in San Marcos close enough to the main road and the public dock. Solid restaurant and good customer service. Meals were good if not great. Scenic view of the lake. They did a nice job putting together transportation and activities for our visit. Just be aware that because it is in town you may hear some sounds like music and dogs close to bedtime but never after 10pm. I would stay again.

10/10 Hotel staff was very polite and accommodating to our needs. The restaurant has really breakfast options ( I recommend the mojito, breakfast plater, and coffee options). You will be stunned by the breathtaking views of the lake and mountains).

The view here doesn’t disappoint. This boutique hotel isn’t very big which is great because you never feel like you are fighting for access to pool chairs or lunch/dinner tables. It’s very private. We stayed in a top floor which did have a very open room meaning the toilet was in plain view as well as the shower. In that aspect we didn’t care for too much but everything else was great. The food and drinks were good and the dock was within a 3-4 minute walking distance if you wanted to take a boat to another town. The staff at the hotel is very polite and always eager to assist. They also have a private and shared car services in the event you wanted to travel to Antigua or elsewhere. There is a bar next door that does play music until about 1030-11pm most nights. I would stay here again.

Tolle Aussicht, nettes Ambiente, gutes Essen, wenn der Koch nicht gerade krank ist oder frei hat. Gute Lage für alle wichtigen Ausflüge. Nettes Hippidorf. Leider ist das gesamte Hotel extrem hellhörig. Dazu kommt, dass nebenan eine Discothek ist, die von 18:30-22:00 gnadenlos Techno-Drums wummert. Gerade in den oberen Zimmern ist man dem ausgeliefert. Ansonsten alles toll.

I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars. The location is beautiful. Breathtaking views. I prefer a more laid back and quiet vibe. Kula Maya and the town of San Marcos provided that. But when my group and I wanted to have more of an outing, San Pedro was a short ferry ride away. It felt so remote and convenient all at the same time. On top of that, one of the members in our group suffered from appendicitis in the middle of the night on our first night's stay here. We were so scared and the night security guard went out of his way to find us a tuk tuk driver to drive us to the hospital in San Pedro. Following the initial emergency, all the staff at Kula Maya were so attentive to our needs. They were ready to arrange transport for us at a moments notice. I cannot say enough positive things about Kula Maya. Just book your stay here, I promise you won't regret it. It was better than anything we could have imagined. Thank you for a memorable stay Kula Maya! We love you!

While the view and bathroom were beautiful, and the food at the restaurant delicious, we weren't able to have our room cleaned each day of our stay. Additionally, we ordered room service one night and were told the wait would be 45 minutes, however we didn't get our food until 90 minutes later when my partner went up to ask about our food (I had already asked 30 minutes prior). Finally, the hotel is located right next door to a club - you can hear the music clearly every night. Thankfully, the music stopped each night at 10:00PM; we were still able to sleep each night, but I would have liked to know about the noise prior to our stay.

The food was amazing. The sauna should be included with the room rate. Not necessary to charge 30$ USD for a 30 min sauna session. The view is amazing and the staff is pleasant and sweet with forthright responses. Be prepared to spend a lot of money when eating at the hotel.
