I typically stay at Hyatt Centric locations and this location has been my least enjoyable stay, which is kind of a bummer considering I was excited about my private hot tub room. Let’s start at the beginning. Check in staff is not friendly whatsoever. They are either uneducated on the status of their amenities or simply do not like their job enough to care. Front desk staff was condescending and weird, the woman who helped me at check in didn’t seem to want to help at all to the point where I felt like I was bugging her by asking questions. Whatever. Let’s move on… one of the primary reasons why I booked this hotel was the game room pool table pictured. I arrived, asked for info on the pool table and to my surprise, no pool table available due to renovations. Would’ve been nice to know on the Expedia listing that renovations are being done (wouldn’t be surprised if it is updated after this review) as this was a huge inconvenience to my partner and I, again, because we booked primarily due to the convenience of a pool table. Fine. Let’s move on. We try to get our private hot tub filled after a long day… water won’t hold. After numerous attempts, I finally call the front desk. They sent up a maintenance man who graciously arrived within 5 minutes and confirmed an issue with the water drain. Puts a cheap spout and calls it a day. Water is still slowly draining and still won’t really hold, but temporarily fixes the problem, I guess. For a $700 room, I expected more.
