Generelt dejligt værelse og en god oplevelse. Sødt personale.
Mangler opholdslokale.
Chic setting on overlooking Regent's park, popular spot for evening diners therefore a busy atmosphere but the staff were attentive and prompt. Stayed only one night in a clean, pleasant chic bedroom and with ensuite bathroom. Good menu choices for breakfast again with prompt, polite service
Loads of character. This made such a welcome change from the usual large, glossy hotels. So much more personal and classy. Great, character filled rooms, excellent staff and real service. Loved it. I'll certainly be coming back.
Hotel was clean and classy if a little bit tired in places. Our room (deluxe), which they very kindly upgraded at check in without solicitation had a four poster and was very spacious for a London room. The en-suite was the only aspect that let it down a little (chipped tiles, average shower), still, as I say, overall a very nice space. We had lunch on arrival in the restaurant which was excellent. The food& wine were good value for money and the staff unpretentious and friendly without being overbearing. All in all for the price we paid I am more than satisfied. On our dates, the alternatives in the same price range were Holiday inn& other well known chains in much rougher locations. I would absolutely recommend Y&A for a short stay.

ok hotel with some charm close to Regent's Park
it's quite an attractive building and rooms. Old, which is charming, but a bit tired, which isn't. Greeted at the front of the hotel (which is also a restaurant and bar) by...actually I can't do this without getting into trouble, but anyway, lose the attitude.
Lovely room, although my room was next to a room where there was an Xmas meal almost every night I was there. The service was very mixed - this is definitely a restaurant that has rooms rather than a hotel. There was usually no-one at reception, which meant long waits or harassing the bar staff to get someone to help me. Some of the staff were stand-offish to the point of rudeness, although some were lovely, kind, welcoming. Some small things, like they forgot my breakfast/ then only brought enough food for one, so my guest had to wait. A bit slapdash overall, but a lovely room, good location.
A short walk from Camden Town tube station and right next to Regents Park. Very friendly staff and good service. Boutique style rooms, high standard and slightly quirky in shape.
Loved the hotel. The room was beautiful, great service, great food, super nice staff made us feel at home. Very friendly environment. Truly made our stay in London a pleasure.
I was quite disappointed with my stay here. When I arrived at check-in, there was nobody available, and I had to venture into the restaurant area to request some help. The room itself (number 1), was very small, somewhat rundown, and unbelievably hot. The climate control system was not working, and no portable fans or other solutions were provided. There was a welcome note from the manager in my room, but it was addressed to Michael (not my name). My partner and I ended up checking out at 4 AM and moving to the Holiday Inn just around the street. Less sexy name, but an infinitely better experience in an equally good location. Cheaper too. Next time I visit, I'll be going there.
A quiet location and convenient for the West End, York & Albany offers up-market bed and breakfast at around the £200/night mark. With connections to Gordon Ramsay, one might expect peerless food and service. In honesty, the breakfast was a bit disappointing as a meal although its service was excellent.
The room, rather on the cramped side, was scrupulously clean with a comfortable bed.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the hotel.
Was perfect location for me as I work on TCR and Warren street. Great to have a b fast included and the food and atmosphere was great to come back to after a long day at the office. Felt more like coming home than going back to a hotel. I like it a lot.

Time for a Refurb or at least some updating
I live close to the hotel but as we had guests staying in our place we were quite excited about staying one of our previously favorite hotels - The York and Albany.
First hitch was we booked then expedia emailed to say it was cancelled... then the booking was reinstated.
Unfortunately it was disappointing. the room was one of the smallest available which was fine but there was a motor running all night which was really annoying. The moved us to another room which was the one immediately below so still pokey but quieter.
I guess for the price (we booked at £200 but this room was £150) its ok but not somewhere Id look forward to going to stay in...
Myself and my daughter had a great stay. The hotel has such a chilled feel as it only has 9 rooms. Loved the restaurant and we had an amazing pizza at the attached pizzeria. The pizza part of the restaurant used to be a stable attached to the coaching inn that is now the hotel. It has a proper clay pizza oven and all made fresh to order. We visited the zoo which is 5 mins walk and it's a real enjoyable day out. Rooms have antique feel and retain character of the building. Stay here if you don't want to be in the hustle bustle of Central London. But still easy access to everywhere.
Booked a room here for my daughter and her friend for their first night in London before registering for their semester abroad. They LOVED it. Not only was Y and A adorable but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Food was terrific. Plus it is walking distance to the school's administrative offices. The perfect choice for us!
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and treated very well. We stayed in Room 4 which was separate and different from the other rooms. It was very large and comfortable! We stayed in this area to be closer to our daughter but would definitely return. The park was beautiful and it was nice to be in a neighborhood atmospjere. We did not eat dinner at York and Albany but certainly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and lunch. If you want a unique boutique hotel experience, this is a great place.
Vi hadde et veldig hyggelig opphold på hotellet. Flott atmosfære, rolig, meget god mat og service. Flott beliggenhet i ved Regents Park. Kan anbefales, vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Disliked: Room comfort
room size
Even though we booked a classic double which was supposed to have a queen size bed it was only a double and the room itself very small. The bathroom also was tiny with a rather poor shower. Feel that for £205.00 per night could have got something much better elsewhere.
