Room was small but okay. Soundproofing not great - there was noise from the corridor that woke me up late at night and early in the morning. The latch on the bathroom window was broken which meant it could be opened from the outside, and the room was on the ground floor, which was not great. On arrival at the property my card was pre-authorised with 5% of the room rate, which was presented as just in case I used any items from the fridge; on departure this was instead described as an optional service charge. Costs should be inclusive of this; pay your staff properly and be up front about the cost!

I stayed at this hotel recently and unfortunately the experience was pretty mixed. This hotel has a great location and friendly staff, which were definite positives. The themed rooms are fun and our balcony was great, though the decor felt a bit dated. The lounge area was also nice. Unfortunately, there were several drawbacks. There was major sidewalk and building construction outside, making it difficult to reach the front entrance. The rooms are quite small with almost no storage—no dresser or place to put clothes. The bathroom fan didn’t work, the walls were very thin (we could hear our neighbors’ phone notifications/tv/toilet flushes), and amenities were minimal aside from basic toiletries attached to the shower wall. The elevator setup is also inconvenient—guests on upper floors have to switch elevators, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The biggest issue for me was that we had to leave two days early. Although we booked through Expedia and prepaid, the hotel ultimately decides on refunds. I wasn’t expecting a full refund, but a partial refund for the unused nights would have been appreciated. They declined. Overall, I found the hotel pretty bare-bones and disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with kids, elderly travelers, or anyone with mobility issues.

Staff very helpful and friendly, the bed was excellent and a great nights sleep. Great location for buses and sights. Only let down was lack of choice and care for the food served at breakfast, could do with more hot options e.g. mushrooms, tomatoes and porridge and a wider selection of bread, crumpets, pancakes etc.

we booked this hotel because we wanted to be closed to Royal Albert Hall to attend a concert. We paid a above average rate for this booking. Hotel itself was fine. Breakfast arrangement was hopeless. I am mindful about space but still this arrangement should have been lot better than what I have seen in 2 star budget hotel. Sorry utterly dissappointed.

Lovely comfortable Town House stay for two nights. Room was well equipped and immaculately clean. Only issue is that they automatically charge a service charge on room rate which is the first time I have encountered this in London. It is discretionary but I stay most weeks, on business and feel the high costs of room rates should not have another charge on top. So beware

Hotel located in a historic building in South Kensington, a beautiful area a stone's throw from the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum, well served by public transport and very convenient for reaching both the airport and the city centre. It offers spacious rooms with large, very comfortable bathrooms. Great attention to detail and very friendly staff. However, the soundproofing is not great.

This is a wonderful hotel close to museums and Royal Albert Hall. Staff were great. Rooms clean and comfortable. Will definitely go back again.

Disappointing

What’s called a boutique hotel. The room was well appointed but a king sized bed made a small room even smaller. Breakfast was disappointing- we had to beg for extra bacon and the choice was extremely limited. It is convenient for the Albert Hall and the museums but I don’t think we’ll stay there again
