「Clean. Great location 」

「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

The cottage is on a working farm, and has been nicely restored, though it's clearly an old building, and I must have banged my head *every* time I went to load the fire in the kitchen! It's a place with real character - the farm has cows, goats, chickens, and fish, and would be great for anyone with kids. The wifi was...

Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. 「The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

「This was an immaculately clean and comfortable stay. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant had a good choice and the chef clearly takes pride in his food- great quality and lots of choice. The breakfast included traditional ootions but also good quality food. We loved the location and would highly recommend the Queens for an overnight or longer stay. We also brought out dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. 」
