Rooms are good size clean , the staff at the Smiths are so welcoming, friendly as well as hard working, making sure our stay was 1st class.parking we had no trouble finding a space , as for the air conditioning it was explain it was not working, and we was provided with a fan ,we all had a wonderful stay at the smiths we will come again

We were very comfortable during our stay the bed was ok but the bathroom was tired. The air conditioning was excellent and the breakfast was ok the coffee was not to my taste but plenty of choice to help yourself to.

Fantastic Hotel

I have stayed here a few time now, rooms are fab, heating in the room was perfect as I hate a hotel room which doesn’t have great heating. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee and biscuits and a bottle of water provided. I would highly recommend this hotels to my friends and family. Staff were lovely too.

Stayed here for 1 night in a family room. The room was very big, plenty of space. Double bed was huge but it was actually 2 singles joined together which was great. There were bunk beds located in the room for kids. Only idsue was for some reason we could not get any sound from the tv in the kids area which was annoying as they had to watch the other tv in our bed. We went elsewhere for dinner but breakfast was amazing, great choice of food and kept being repelnsihed. If your stayimg in Gretna I would definitely consider this hotel, its a few £ more than others in the area but in my opinion its worth it

Really nice staff and handy for a wedding (5 mins walk). Beds are comfy and despite being beside the M6 and in a roadside room, I slept well. Bathroom was in need of refurbishment.

Great few days

We were at a family wedding and the stay was great. The bathrooms need a bit updating but overall it was a great stay. It was raining on the morning of the wedding but umbrellas were available. The staff were very attentive so overall a great stay

Nice Hotel and Restaurant

Nice hotel, had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Room was nice but needed some attention to detail. Fire in the room wasn't working or i couldn't find the switch! Door to the hotel corridor slammed on the second floor, so heard it every time someone used it. Some damping on the frame would solve the problem.

Room was cold, hotel was cold, bathroom was dirty. Wall near towel radiator was filthy with dirty watwr marks all down it. Not worth the money for value. Food was ok and staff were friendly. Its basically had a facelift on the front but is still in the 80s inside with ni working lift either.

The hotel room was amazing , the restaurant was awesome, only bad point was there must have been wedding party on , and there were children running in the corridors where the bedrooms are located, they were very noisy and even knocking on our room door and just causing trouble , don’t know where their parents were or even the hotel staff as the corridors had cctv they and no one came to sort the situation out, so that put a downer on our stay and upset my wife as we tried to have a nice quiet, relaxing night away for her 50th birthday
