"When we arrived to check in the room was not ready. Turns out they were not even aware of our booking until we showed it to them. We then had to wait two hours whilst the owner came to the property to get the room ready. Waiting outside in the side proved to be a disaster as their outdoor table and chair was covered in a black bitumen type substance that got all over the bottom of my trousers and completely ruined them. "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very good room and breakfast- only one downside, coffee wasnt the best but everything else was excellent and we would stay there again"

"The hotel has basic furniture, no wardrobes or drawers for putting personal items out of view. The wash basin sink took ages to empty. The kettle had no filter so would take longer to switch off. Breakfast food was always slightly overcooked, especially bacon and sausages. Apart from these niggles it was clean, comfortable bed (very large) changed regularly. The staff very friendly and helpful. Be aware, it only accepts card payments, No cash. Nearby there is an Asda express, a mcdonlds and a pub doing evening meals. Would use it again."

"The internal decoration has been carried out with grey wallpaper, charcoal colour carpet and black or dark brown woodwork. I found it to have an overall effect of gloominess, though some people might like it. The buffet breakfast is adequate, though items run out and are not replenished towards the end of breakfast service. The location is great and there is masses of parking."

"Staff all friendly. Breakfast nice, would have liked a fried egg. Rooms spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Fan in room very dirty, needs a good thorough clean. Good that there was an iron and ironing board in the room. Did not like that there were only tall chairs in the bar, as I am not a very tall person I struggle to get on them and found them uncomfortable. Good selection of good and drinks in the bar, reasonable prices. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed 1 night before our cruise. The hotel was quiet & very clean. The breakfast was excellent - great variety. Being American, I needed help with the coffee machine since it was different from what I was used to. A server was very friendly and quick to help. Our 2 teenage grandsons (picky eaters), were able to find enjoyable foods and were filled up! Love the beans at breakfast! Florida Family"
