"Good hotel for my 1~night stay. Location was OK. I didn’t partake of the free breakfast. The only odd thing was the room elevators were separated from the lobby elevator. So you had to take stairs or elevator from lobby to ground floor and walk to another part of the hotel to get to the elevators to the rooms. Other than that, my stay was fine. "

My only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin and so you can easily hear what is going on in the adjacent rooms and the free breakfast was mediocre. Other than that, the staff is great, the breakfast is whatever (it’s only cereal, bagels, and coffee), and honestly the rooms were really nice. The mattress was on the firm side but still comfortable, and the TV had lots of options of things to watch for free on their Direct TV. "

"Selected this place because it was located close to Rte 287 so I could get back on the road next day. Didn't have time to tour around so not sure about shops nearby. Staff was cordial and helpful. While promo pics were appealing, you can tell this is an old, old place that is in need of some renovations such as better lighting in the very spacious old style bedrooms that dreary even though there are good beds but sparse furnishing. If you have mobility issues beware that there are no elevators for guest use and lower free parking areas don't have stairways to the upper levels. Conclusion, if you're looking for a place close to the highway and a good bed to sleep in, the cost is market fair. Don't know they have the $$$ but this could a neat place with an upgrade! "

"I used to stay here all the time when it was a Holiday Inn and it was fantastic! But they knew it needed repairs and fixing and decided not to do it. They sold the property and it’s going further and further down hill every visit. They don’t have vacuum cleaners . They sweep the carpets! There have been mice in my rooms the last times there. It needs carpet cleaning desperately! They use a photo of the bar and restaurant that is closed. Pool is closed. Plumbing issues also. Place needs care but I think they’re keeping it going as long as they can before it’s closed down. Very small cleaning staff also. They’re friendly but it’s sad how bad it’s gotten. It’s become seedy. Back door open without key lock so unsafe feeling,but I lock my door. Only reason I continue to stay there is the price and the location. "
