The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda Airport Terminal 3

6/10 Okay

"We had a superior twin room. It was pretty battered with scuff marks on the walls and dehumidifier. There was a table with only one chair, no usb plugs. The room lacked comfort with hard beds, 1 odd pillow and the thinnest duvet - may have only been a cover, but not entirely sure. We had a view of a carpark. This was the worst of 10 places we stayed in Japan, definitely the worst duvet. Shame as other places we stayed had great snuggly duvets. For someone facing long flights the next day, the lack of comfort was disappointing. Positives are it was quiet, roomy and had a big bathroom with a great shower, and obviously the location is perfect for an early morning flight. I would look elsewhere next time to have a more comfortable nights sleep."

"This is a good “American” style hotel. One of the few hotels to provide king size bed, airport shuttle, breakfast buffet that’s above average for a great price. Super clean as per higher cleaning standards in Japan. Room was same size as American hotels, full size bathtub, higher ceiling than most. My husband is 6’7” so finding a large enough place is a challenge in Japan. Mercure Haneda was a dream for its size and its access to train station just 5 minutes walk. Mr. Adachi at the front desk was very helpful with restaurant suggestions around the hotel."

"I guess I didn't realize I was walking into a Dinosaur Robot check in situation. Amusing but not helpful. It was not obvious from the booking details that there would be NO humans on the property. As a first time traveler to Tokyo I would have preferred some human assistance. The location was good from the HND airport - A couple train stops and a well lit, safe and easy walk to the hotel. It was clean and safe and the lockers were nice to have. The rooms were clean and efficient and they had 3/4 bathtubs that I enjoyed! I guess I would have just like to have know up front that it was all AUTOMATED because Then would have made a different choice know I prefer a human touch. Still was able to check in and get a room key from a machine and it all worked. So if Robots and Automation and zero contact are your thing THIS IS YOUR PLACE:)"
