The room was beautiful. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The public bath is very relaxing. The hotel provides samue (traditional Japanese unisex pants and top that can be worn to and from your room to the bath. They provide instructions in English for people who want to try it out, but don't know the public bath etiquette.
There's a restaurant just down the street called Onari yoko-cho. The food is amazing! They have vegan options for ramen and sushi. The owners speak English fluently, one also speaks Spanish (and Japanese, of course!)
Highly recommend voth this hotel and this restaurant.
The staff are so helpful and accommodating, and the hotel is gorgeous and clean. We loved this hotel and will return again next year. It is perfectly located near train station, the ocean, food, shopping, exploring and sight seeing. This hotel is a treasure.
Lovely little local hotel in the heart of Kamakura! Nice walk to the beach & shops close by! Onsen on site! Definitely a place I would visit/stay again!
This property is in a great location and everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The staff were excellent, the property is very well maintained and very clean and the breakfast service and nightly snacks were superb. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.
We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the Kamakura area. I wish there were more options for breakfast in the hotel. They offer free snack of miso soup and onigiri every night, and there’s a good coffee machine all day.
We stayed under 2 separate reservations because we extended our stay but could not book the same room type.
Staff was very helpful and understanding.
Helped us baggage forwarding to Tokyo.
Cute property, short walk from Kamakura station. Front desk was superb! They happily held our luggage until check in , and after check out. Nice spa, room was great. Only negative would be the carpet in the hallway. It was very dirty. It either needs a deep clean or replacement-many stains (we stayed on the first floor)
We were given a choice of Japanese or American breakfast. Both were amazing.
We extended our stay one night and had to change rooms. They held our luggage during the day, and allowed us to check back in early as our new room was ready.
The hotels is a very short walk from Kamakura Station making it very convenient for using the train and local buses.
It was very nice to have an on-site public bath with security for women guests.
A nice surprise was their late night snack of miso and onigiri.
The staff were extremely courteous and welcoming.
It is also great that you are given the option of room cleaning or just getting fresh towels and pjs to save the planet.
