「We loved our stay at this inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a great breakfast in the morning, and we were very close to Highclere Castle. Definitely recommend The Carnarvan Arms.」

「Our stay at the Jack Russell was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and the food was very good. The bedroom was very comfortable with a lovely view. However, the lighting was very subdued which is relaxing but it would have been useful to have more efficient reading lamps. The breakfast bar was good but it would have been nice to have a selection of nuts and seeds and full fat natural yoghurt. 」

「The food was excellent - both breakfast and evening meal. Full fresh cooked breakfast included in the cost of the room. Proper Americano coffee served at no extra cost with breakfast! I had a glass of champagne with the evening meal and it was chilled, bubbly and perfect. 」

「An historic inn with nicely updated rooms. Excellent shower, large room and the most comfortable bed I have slept in so far on this 3 month trip. Beer in the bar is great with a good selection of wines. Food was good with some interesting Lebanese style dishes. Very quiet and I would highly recommend this inn. 」

「We had a wonderful stay at The Retreat. The room was spacious and comfortable and we appreciated the pantries with complementary drinks and snacks. The facilities are high quality, with an elegant feel without being dated. Food was good in both restaurants, as was breakfast. The spa was very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. 」
