Having stayed in hotels all over the country and around the world, I would not at all rate this as a 4 Star hotel. This is the lowest quality 4 Star I have ever stayed in. It should be a 3 Star hotel (and not a high 3 Star). For a 3 Star it is fine, but not on a par with other 4 Star hotels. It was under-staffed, with slow service at check in, and you have to PAY for the parking! Extraordinary for a (supposed) 4 Star hotel with a car park. The doors to the rooms are not very secure (nothing compared to a Premier Inn!) and the sound insulaton is not great between the rooms. Notably, we did not have a plug for the bath! The staff had no idea how to get a replacement plug, they were utterly baffled. Luckily our friend in another room lent us his plug... The hotel was also full of people on a speed awareness course right next to the bedrooms! Overall, you get a better room, better bed, better security, better insulation, better service and better price at a Premier Inn.

On arrival we noticed the bin in the room had not been emptied. There was only two tea bags and three milk sachets. Everything else was quite good. Plenty of room and a comfortable bed.

All the staff that we came in contact with, reception, bar and restaurant were really nice and couldn't have been more helpful with a special mention for Vincent in reception who made us feel really welcome. Also the young lady who greeted us at breakfast was lovely and nothing was to much trouble but unfortunately we didn't get her name. We usually stay here two or three times a year and look forward to continuing our breaks away with you.

Absolutely dreadful from start to finish. This hotel completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable trip. The room was filthy, smelled unpleasant, and looked nothing like the photos online. The bedding appeared unwashed, the bathroom was dirty, and basic cleanliness seemed to be a foreign concept. The customer service was shockingly poor. Staff were rude, dismissive, and acted as though guests were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Every issue we raised was either ignored or met with excuses. The noise levels were ridiculous, making it impossible to sleep, and several facilities that were advertised simply didn’t exist or were out of service. The entire place felt neglected, poorly managed, and in desperate need of investment. I’ve stayed in budget hotels with far better standards than this. Save your money, avoid the disappointment, and book literally anywhere else.

Booked online with breakfast got there and apparently it was not on the reservation, a man was sitting in reception who could hardly understand a word of English while I was trying to speak with him, utilities were broken in the room, hair dryer was not working was cold all night as the ac wouldn’t come on. I’m quite disappointed as my last visit here the place was Hilton double tree since that I believe the standards declined unfortunately the place was dusty, arriving to the hotel was a shock for me it smelled weird like damp and mold smell and the rooms where no better

I liked the hotel overall and thought the staff were all really nice! The swimming pool and steam room were good and bar was nice too! The reception areas also nice! My issue however was we were given a room that absolutely reeked of dog! As we’d been to races and then went to health club we didn’t really notice until 10pm and couldn’t be bothered to change! Seems there had been a doggie convention there a few days before and although sanitised and clean the room really smelled! I’d give the hotel another go but dont think they should put guests in rooms until smell has gone ! I’d ask to move next time ! Bed was super comfortable though and I think overall was good value stay

With additional charges I should have booked my first choice, I saw this hotel on offer and took it. I paid extra for a dog but didn't get the doggy bag mentioned on site. Staff were very dog friendly hotel isn't really. Nowhere to walk the dog really just a carpark and small courtyard. The court yard isn't really a suitable place to go to the toilet and the carpark was very hot in 30°+ also I had to get someone to get me breakfast as dogs aren't allowed in the area, so I couldn't see what was available. The hotel is completely no smoking, not even in outside seating, which might be a plus for some guest. It said it had a designated smoking place, but that was basically stand in the carpark. Again in heat not being able to sit was uncomfortable, also lots of cigarettes ends as no ashtrays. Room was about what you'd expect for the price, tv was rubbish you can only watch TV no streaming or casting from your phone. Cheap and basic but great staff

Room smelled a bit of smoke and it's a little dated inside but it's very convenient for the A34, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, bed was comfy, room was very clean, food and drinks at the restaurant were quite nice if a little pricy. Unfortunately didn't have a chance to try the swimming pool but overall I thought it was very nice for the price.
