The third time staying at the Three Swans. A great welcome and easy check in with incredibly helpful check in Manager who was thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. Hotel situated in the centre Of Hungerford which is a lovely small town with interesting individual shops and antique markets. Another great stay.

Super friendly staff, I upgraded our room to deluxe plenty of space huge bath tub free standing but walking shower was very small had to come out during showering to get shampoos etc as no shelf to put things on, breakfast was really good,

We were able to get a quiet room and staff were helpful. What is challenging for older travelers is not having a phone to call reception for assistance. Up and down the stairs can be difficult and no elevators. I understand these type of properties are old but conveniences such as a refrigerator, telephone, air conditioning would bring me back to stay without hesitation.

On arrival we were greeted with a genuine and sincere welcome by Hana . She had such a lovely smile and disposition we were instantly brightened up after our long journey from Crete. All the staff were friendly and helpful which made our stay memorable.

Despite claiming otherwise there was no parking, and no internet connection Inside the hotel. Amusingly (only because my wife and I are less than 5 feet 7 inches) , the height size inside two thirds of our (large) premium room was less than 5 feet 10 inches, and even though the bathroom was very large, Its inadequate small electric towel rail in the corner and very, very small mini bath would not suit many, particularly in the winter. Food at the hotel is pretty basic, but fortunately there are other better eating venues in the town . For the record we cancelled Sunday lunch for 4 there, and took our guests to the John o’Gaunt. Obviously the character hotel had many stairs and no lift, but staff at least were friendly and tried their best. PS The bed in the room was comfortable. I can't really review this hotel because we didn't end up staying here. The hotel had no air conditioning and it was 97 degrees. I am older and can not stand the heat. The young lady that waited on me was great she was checking to see that under the circumstances they could refund me for the 4 night stay that I had reserved. I never heard back from anyone. I would like to talk to someone about this,
