「The desk attendant told us that May and October are big times for weddings at the hotel and in Cape May. During our two-night stay in May, the hotel hosted weddings on both Friday and Saturday nights. The events drew a lot of people, and included loud music in the dining room until 10 PM (the bass beat reverberated in our room 2 floors up) and crowded gatherings on the historic porch that excluded us being able to enjoy it. We were not very happy with the room because it was extremely small - the bathroom sink was literally at the foot of the bed. 「We had a lovely stay at the Hugh! Sandy and John were gracious hosts, breakfast was French inspired and delicious. The rooms were clean with modern style and the staff were helpful and kind. It’s nice to also have a highly rated French restaurant inside the inn, although we didn’t dine there we will be back again. Highly recommend! 」
