"All I needed was a shower and a bed. I stayed for one night in my work truck. The compound is gated and cheaper than the surrounding hotels. The room was clean. Not many people there. Quiet and no one bothered me. Helped me when I was in a bind."

"I had to wait 15 minutes for change of shift at 3pm to check in. Shouldnt that not coincide with check in time? The ladies at the desk were very nice and friendly. There was a lit of construction going on around the place, but it was not noisy or an inconvenience. It looks like ownership is trying to rejuvenate a once mediocre hotel. The room that I had was newly renovated, comfortable, and acceptable. I did not see any bugs or faulty plumbing, AC, etc as other reviews stated. I almost took the...

"Went with my significant other to Mardi Gras and it was a great price. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel so no need for a cab only when returning home at night. Even though it was about 15 mins away from New Orleans, it was worth the price and they are under going renovation. The 2 star rating is unfair cause we had an overall great experience. I was expecting an aweful room and terrible area but it was none of that. Ty you for making our trip memorable."

"Always have a great stay at this property. A little older property but well maintained and recently updated. On site steakhouse is excellent. Streetcar line steps from the door making getting around very easy. We do not use much of the on site amenities but location is awesome. Many other excellent restaurants nearby or a streetcar ride away. "
