"It is a great hotel for an overnight sleep in the area. I particularly like the friendliness of the staff and, especially, the curry available in the restaurant. As a regular at the hotel, 2 times a year gor the last 4 or 5 years, I find that yhe WiFi is pretty stable an great for my purposes."

"We booked this hotel as a pit stop for our trip to London. We have been before and have had a completely different experience this time. Upon arrival we were greeted with blank stares and no smiles. Something I’d describe as the opposite of a warm welcome. Staff were unwelcoming which made us incredibly uncomfortable. The room was fine overall. We were shocked to have a knock at our door at 8am asking for us to stop stamping our feet. To the staffs surprise, we were not stomping our feet at all. It was our one year old daughter doing her normal child activities 10 minutes after she had woken up. This has genuinely confused us as the hotel must be child friendly due to us stating we were travelling with a child. Overall, we were disappointed with this visit and will not be returning. "

"I really enjoyed staying here, the room was absolutely full of character with a view of the green and the grand homes of a picturesque village. The owner is charming and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Its a very traditional setting and environment, and well worth a visit "

"Our stay at The Ethorpe Hotel was excellent! The double room was spacious, had a tv, kettle with multiple options for a hot drink and we were given complimentary chocolate. The bathroom was modern and clean with a rainfall shower! The bed was comfortable and extra pillows are available in the wardrobe! We also had dinner and breakfast during our stay. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, staff are attentive and food was delivered quickly. The breakfast has a range of drink options and toast, cereal, croissants and yogurts is part of the breakfast as well as a main meal. I recommend this hotel. Very glad to have stay here. "

"The room was cool and the bed comfortable. Nice towels It’s more basic than a Travel Lodge, loud plumbing, slightly loose light fittings, no reading light switch separate to the over head light. Paper thin walls. Breakfast was good, staff friendly and ambience warm. "
