「I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. 」

「The kitchen is perfect with all the necessaries provided. Though the location of hotel is a bit far away from the city centre, the facilities are clean and with a lower price. I hope that they can add in more lights though cause it’s a bit dark for me even if I turned on all the lights.」

「This was my second stay at the Fishermans Village after staying last year too. Experience was again great, the parking was easy and it was nice and quiet around the premise. Easy access to the surrounding water with the views being brilliant, particularly at sunrise and sunset! Álftanes is a great place to stay if you have a car and aim to travel around the west of Iceland. 」

「I chose this accommodation mainly becoz of its short distance to the BSI Bus Terminal. The room does not locate at their described building but within 2-3mins walk towards the actual location. Staff gave me clear direction on where to go tho, that was very good. The room is comparatively spacious. The shared bathroom is very tidy. Just hope there’s coffee supply and more newer cooking utensils in the shared kitchen.」
