ATTENTION : Dishonest hotel
The check-in is at 3 PM and there is no reception on site. I go to the allocated room and when I enter, it seems busy. I take photos of the room and write to the accommodation manager to ask him if it’s normal. I wait 30 minutes in my car and no response, neither by phone nor by email. I communicate with an Expedia agent to explain it to him. He also tries to communicate with them a few times and no response. After all this time, I mention to Expedia that I am going to rent elsewhere (I have to drop off before the flight tomorrow!) and they tell me that they will contact them for a refund. Two hours and 15 later, at 5:15 PM, someone tells me that my room is ready. I explain to him that in the absence of a response after a long delay, I rented elsewhere and that I want to be refunded. Unfortunately, according to their policy, they do not refund. They offer me a 30% at one of their restaurant. They also refuse the refund to the Expedia agent. I would not have canceled if the room had been ready and/or someone had notified me and/or someone had responded to me more quickly than within 2 hours. Of all the accommodations I rented during the 14 days of the trip, this is the only one that was dishonest and execrable. The manager never replied to anything else. They apply their policy when it is advantageous for them (refund) but do not apply it to the client (room ready at the scheduled time or at least communicate with the client).
