I loved my stay here! The location in the heart of the Old Town is amazing, and you can easily walk to all the beautiful sights. The rooms were spotless and the atmosphere was so warm and cozy.

There is no staff, but the key codes work well, and the coffee is sometimes working. And the place is well located close to the center of fun in the capital city. And close to bus stop number one, which was super convenient for tours.Highly recommend this place.My room was cozy and comfortable, and the wash room was close by!

It was a great location. Very central. 15-20 minute walk to bus station and right downtown. It was really helpful to have the luggage storage room - for no extra charge. Rooms were clean and the beds comfy. I was here a total of 5 nights both before and after a tour. Twice there was no t.p. In bathrooms, once the coffee machine wasn’t working, a couple of days the tea wasn’t replenished and there was never milk for the coffee. However that is minor and I would stay here again.

Room was small but functional and clean. Only staff we really saw was the cleaning staff, but knew this going in with self check in. Coffee and specialty teas available in the common area. 4 floors and no elevator, but this is common in Europe. Bag storage on main floor was a life saver, not having to bring our large bags up to the fourth floor. This hotel is in a very good location for the downtown amenities! I recommend for a budget stay in Reykjavik.

So this was a fantastic property. It was centrally located to just about everything in Reykjavík. It was more than a hostel, and the private rooms were well worth the price. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

We stayed here on two separate nights during a two week vacation in Iceland. It is self check in. There was no staff that we know about. The rooms were adequate and the room that we had was big enough for myself and my two adult boys (early to mid 20's). Room was clean. The location was perfect, right downtown and not too too far from the bus station, a short ride by scooter. On our second night though we were awakened by a fire alarm at 2 am. Based on how long it took us and many others to get out of the hotel and onto the street, well, all I can say is that it was a good thing it was a false alarm. That whole ordeal ate up about an hours worth of time before someone from the alarm company arrived and shut off the alarm and allowed everyone back into the building. All of that aside, I'd stay here again. You cannot beat the location and the price was reasonable.

There are no staff or check in reception. You’ll get an email with an entry code and a room door code. For longer stays with luggage. There are only stairs. Each floor has a shared toilet and shower’s. There is little room for luggage in the room. For younger groups who basically just need a clean bed to sleep this would be great. The location is outstanding. A short walk from great restaurants, nightlife and shopping. It’s not the best choice for older people who may enjoy larger storage for luggage and clothing or their own bathroom.

The location is excellent, and I really liked the free coffee and tea station. There is also a spacious seating area where you can charge your phone. My room was clean when I arrived, and the communal showers were also mostly clean. However, during my three-day stay, my room wasn’t cleaned at all, and I didn’t receive any fresh towels despite messaging the property to request some. I also had to contact Expedia because the hotel didn’t send me the access codes needed to enter the building/room. However, as a solo female traveller, I felt safe, and I would stay here again.

The room was clean, albeit a bit small. The walls are practically paper thin so bring a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Despite the noise, it is a perfectly nice place to stay and relatively inexpensive, as well as being in a great location. If you are on a budget, then it is worth staying here.

This place was exactly what we needed. We stayed for about five nights, spending most of our time on road trips and visiting lagoons, so we didn’t need anything overly luxurious for our home base. Despite having shared showers and bathrooms, everything was consistently very clean. Interestingly, I never saw a staff member during our stay, yet the property was clearly well maintained. The showers were always available when we needed them, with no waiting. The location was also a big plus—many key parts of Reykjavík were just a short walk from the front door. I’d definitely stay here again. 10/10. Also, a lot of close by parking that you can finagle overnight with good timing :) Thanks for having us!! Hope to come back soon!!
