「Clean room - happy with the property」

「This Motel 6 was awful. Its located underneath the Newport bridge which is incredibly loud to start with. The smell in the air is very fishy which is normally fine near the coast but it was more strong than I remember. I wouldn't honestly be mentioning it though if the lobby didn't smell like piss... in fact, most of the motel smelled like piss! Thankfully our room was not affected other than the time it wafted into the bathroom in the middle of the night :( There was no airflow in the room and...

「The check in staff member was helpful and took initiative when deciding what room to give us. Rather than one that had been previously reported as smelly, he gave us a better room.」

「The property is subject to the road noise of the highway. The unit was tiny; the bathroom was the largest room. There was dirt, rust, cracked, exposed electrical wiring, and a crooked, hanging curtain. Terrible plumbing; the shower water spilled outside onto the entire bathroom floor. The property has permanent residents; unfortunately, a sketchy crowd. I dreaded going back to the hotel after a day of activities; I felt unsafe. I desperately searched for other accommodations (sold out).」

「The cost was reasonable. Expedia, discounts helped. The staff were a bit off, though we and they adjusted to make things work. (No pool towels were available for the adult time for pool and hot tub use) we used our room towels, then replenished those after. The rooms coffee pot was broken, and the available outlet was loose. And the room had a heavy scent of cleaning product. But it was close to the beach.」

「Two bedroom suite is incredibly spacious. Unfortunately the floor was not well cleaned, and bits of food were easily visible under the furniture in the main living space. The beds were clean, though the mattresses and pillows were not comfortable. The location is amazing and the views from our room were wonderful.」

「For starters, my floor was so filthy. I use the bath towel to go from the bathroom to the bedroom to the bathroom and into the bedroom and it was pretty brown when I got done after three days when you walked across the floor it sounded like your feet were sticking to it. I brought this to the desk attention two times they told me oh it’s the soap we use on the floor. The room had a foul smell, which eventually went away.
