"Lovely hotel but a few things need sorting out. We had a large crack in the sink, chip on the bath and the carpets need a good clean. Staff and food were excellent. Car parking is difficult as it's on a steep hill and not a lot of room with large cars."

"Lovely hotel , nice helpful staff . Beautiful clean bedroom and room service man was very helpful and kept our room well stocked with towels ect . Breakfast was lovely best to go early as the last sitting was a bit hit and miss . Swimming pool was nice but it does need to have disabled access for us to book again in the future with our son . Beautiful hotel for a lovely rest garden room was so nice . We were upgraded as we stayed for a respite stay . Would stay again . Would be lovely to stay here for Christmas."

"Derwent was very dated and in need of some money spent on the place. Our room was a twin room. The floor was not level at all, anywhere. The top half of the windows was so difficult to close. Overlooking the road. I had to stand on the window sill and use all my strength to close it. We stayed for 2 nights and was good for the value."

"Set in amazing gardens that run all the way down to the seafront. A unique property that also has a lovely swimming pool and beautiful views. Unfortunately the location and setting of the hotel is better than the rooms themselves, which were tired and basic. I had a view of the wall!!"

"Room was lovely, spacious and clean. Large bathroom. Great sea view. Shame no breakfast option, but wasn't a major issue for us. Hot tub wasn't in use. Didn't use the Outdoor pool but did use the indoor pool which was nice, although the jacuzzi didn't seem to work very well. If we could get the same room then we'd happily stay again."
