「The staff are very helpful, and polite, nothing is too much trouble the hotel is very clean, beds are very comfortable, rooms cleaned daily it was all very good couldn't fault anything」

「Friendly staff, very clean room and comfortable bed. Good choice of breakfast. Great location for the marina, bars and restaurants. Overall a great experience and would return ☺️」

「Would have been nice to have a nicer place to sit out side other the bench tables not suitable for people with disabilities」

「If you’re staying with a lager dog (mine is a springer spaniel) you’ll be put in one of the rooms under the Appleby’s bar. As a result the rooms are dated and in desperate need of updating, and being under the outside area of the bar it’s very noisy (Saturday night especially). I requested a room change and the manager was very accommodating and moved me to a room that was a lot nicer but still on the front below the bar because of my dog. Staff were very friendly and helpful and recommended...

「Service provided is excellent…….」

「I did not like the dirt in the bedroom. Damp running down the walls shower which was not working cold water only. Toilet was ranks would not stay again even if I was payed」

「Hotel is very dated,carpets in corridors smelt bad,needs a good hoover,bathroom needs a refresh,bath rusty,very old tv,didn't get a wink of sleep as could hear water running,I won't be staying again unfortunately」

「Fantastic hotel Staff & owners are very special to their guests 3 time staying here outstanding breakfast」

「Brilliant hotel with many things to keep the family entertained. Great breakfast. Room could do with some updating but location brilliant too. Would definitely stay again.」

「The Berberry is a great place to stay, just 10 minutes walk from the station or the seafront, and offers a very comfortable bed with a great breakfast to set you up for the day ahead!!! We were warmly welcomed, and the information Steve shared about local restaurants helped us to find some delicious seafood even on a bank holiday weekend!! Wendy’s delicious homemade cake was a lovely addition to a relaxing cuppa in the garden on our arrival, and the breakfast menu covers all tastes, including...

「I was so pleased I chose this hotel for overnight stay, it got everything I needed and I was in so love with room, absolutely gorgeous. Feel like I was at home, so comfy. Staff were super helpful and lovely. Location was so perfect, easy to travel to the town via foot and the Torquay harbours.」

「Great location, but some room for improvement Great location, just a stone’s throw from the main beach in Torquay. The flat had all the amenities we needed for cooking, which was a plus. Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the stay down. The dining table only seats two people, despite the flat accommodating four. This meant our children had to sit at the table while we ate standing at the kitchen counter. Although the toilet looked clean, there was a noticeable smell of urine. The...

「Julie and Gary were absolutely lovely and super helpful. They helped heat up milk for our little one and were friendly the hole time. I would say I think personally found the mattresses slightly uncomfortable, may be a preference. The only true negative, so the reason it was not 5 stars for us was the shower was weak, so couldn't just stand underneath it, had to hold it over the body part to clean. Aside that, amazing place, lovely people! Thank you both.」

「Only saw reception staff on day of arrival and departure, indoor pool was only filled a day before departure, door entry codes fiddly.」

「The breakfasts were excellent but I would have preferred a start time earlier than 8.30am. There was constant noise from the room next door which prevented me from sleeping. The hosts were very helpful and I made these comments on my departure. Sleep is important so This was an issue for me」
