「The Kiln Hotel in Wakefield has the look and feel of a run down American Motel that has been abandoned several decades ago. Desperately in need of refurbishment it appears that the new owners have not made any improvements since taking over from Campanile Hotels. The room I stayed in for 1 night looked as if it had not been decorated for 20 years and still had a lingering odour of Cigarette smoke. 「Everything about our stay was very good. Lovely clean room with everything we needed. Large bath with very hot water . Kettle with tea, coffee , biscuits etc , hairdryer and iron. Dinner was good and the breakfasts were freshly prepared. We enjoyed our drinks in the bar and the prices were very reasonable. Staff Lovely and friendly, will certainly think of returning. 」

「Public areas and services were good but there was a wedding reception the first night of our stay so the music was loud and intrusive whilst we were having a drink in the bar area. Customer service and food were good. We were not impressed with our Superior room. Both the room and the bathroom were small, particularly the bathroom. The position of the heated towel rail meant it was very difficult to reach. The wardrobe wooden sliding doors were heavy and very difficult to move.」
