Food ingredients excellent. Presentation so-so. Staff inattentive. Water & wine-list not offered at dinner. Cornflakes not available one morning! Bar & hotel closed up around 21:00 hrs, so not over-friendly.

Poor front of house welcome

Upon arrival was disappointed to find out that the spar was closed. Not the best of welcomes considering i had just driven 260 miles, a little "welcome to 315 bar and restaurant" or a "how has your day been" would of gone down well. He just wanted to offload my key and let me know which room I stayed. The same guy served me for breakfast and wasn't the happiest. The lad at the bar in the evening was great and very chatty!

The staff are brilliant time of day for you. Food excellent could not fault it. The whole place is spotless and the room was perfect. All in all it’s a TEN FROM LEN.

Really nice stay! Rooms were gorgeous, well decorated, everything you needed were there. Very quiet place, even tho they had an event on we didnt hear a thing. Breakfast was nice too, you you needed to wait a while and the staff seemed really agitated. All of them were nice, we didnt have a problem. But very moody, not most welcoming but if you look past that. It was great.

Very good with some small bits of maintainance req

Food was very good. The room was clean, though looking a little tired. Some small bits of maintainance is required on some items (blinds, curtains toilet roll holder etc). Overall was OK...

Very nice place to stay

Very nice hotel, just minutes from family who we were visiting, room was very comfortable and house keeper was really nice, breakfast was lovely and freshly made when ordered, table service was good and I liked that rather than buffet style, (never know where those hands have been). Will definitely book again.

Overall the stay at 315 Bar and Restaurant was outstanding. The room was decorated to a high standard and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very quiet and had everything you will need. On site parking is free. Food menu is excellent and a very high standard. View around the hotel amazing.

Nice hotel but had to settle on the 3rd room after complaining about the others only to see the curtain hanging off and holes in the carpets. Breakfast was quick but very small.

Evening meal was tasty and well presented. Location is on a busy road, but 10 minutes from a nice stroll around Castle Hill and has good views AT THE BACK. Recommend that you request to dine in the conservatory at the back with lovely view. Also take a room in the main building with lovely views from the back. The alternative (we were late bookers) is dining in a side room and a bedroom in the extension with windows on to a corridor overlooking an enclosed seating area (no views at all). Enjoy the better options if you can. The food is great and the staff are lovely.
