「Limited parking ,comfortable cozy room there was a bit of a bad odour in the corridor outside the room no where to hang clothes, and shared bathroom but only staying overnight ,clean enough Ideal location when i go to gigs at The Piece Hall only a 5 minute walk away and only a 5 minute walk from the shops ,you let yourself in with a secure code.」

「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

「We regularly stay at this hotel when visiting Huddersfield. It is our favourite hotel in the area . The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our room is always beautifully clean. The served hot breakfast is fantastic and freshly cooked as opposed to a buffet style. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel and we highly recommend it. A big thank you to all members of staff - you are what makes this hotel so special.」

「Food was great and bar was well kept. Bed was comfy so comfortable in fact I overslept! Such a good find, not overly pretentious just good quality, helpful staff and good food. Perfect for a business stop over. WiFi was also reliable.」

「Moved from the bull to the shepherds rest as an upgrade prior to arrival. Out of 4 rooms (party of 4), rooms 10 and room 4 no heating. The bull may have better but I’d avoid the shepherds rest. Also none of the TVs worked in any of the 4 rooms and Wi-Fi password not shared. A shame as the rooms were fine even if the showers are a little small. Place was clean and obviously has been invested in. 」

「Staff were rude when checking in, the rooms hadn’t been cleaned. There were ants all over the desk in one room, and rubbish on the floor. I don’t know if they are also long leasing out rooms, but some other ‘tenants’ were noisy until around 1am running up and down corridors and shouting. 」
