「I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge...

「Although front desk services was a little bit long, overall score is very good. The hotel is a historical building and maintenance was good. My room is on the same floor near the reception counter and was clean and very spacious. The green and leafy environment makes you feel very relax and enjoy. There's Supermarket 15-30 minutes walk away. You can shop at Walton by taking a 461 bus for around 10mins distances. Clarks, H&M...,,, not so big but worth to visit.」

「Stayed at Walton Lodge as a stop-off to visit Hampton Court Palace. Fabulous location - we were blessed with the hottest day of the year so far (April’26) which allowed us to sit out and appreciate the river views in the evening. Rooms were clean ours was a bit hot but a fan was included. Chatted to a fellow resident and agree that the place needs some TLC however would stay again if visiting this part of London Town.」

「Room was nice and cosy , unfortunately had to leave for work every day to early for breakfast but there were some bits and pieces there if I wanted , plenty of hot water for a bath , bed was nice and comfortable, the only bad thing was someone had been in the room and taken my shampoo and razor the day before I left so could not was my hair or have a shave 」

「A lovely young girl served and checked us in. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a delicious full English breakfast which included orange juice, tea and coffee. Great stay and would recommend this place for the pub and the stay over!!!」

「They hotel had double booked and we were turned away. No room. As two elderly travellers I was appalled to have to drive straight back home 100 miles in the evening. Staff just said they couldn't help」
