「There is so much to be impressed by at this hotel. When walking through the main entrance you are surrounded by Spanish culture. The breakfast has everything you would expect in a big hotel croissants, coffee, cereal, cheeses and meat etc. but in a beautiful Spanish room. There is a sitting room with piano, a small library with table. The room had lots of beautiful furnishings. The balcony had table and two chairs. Everything in the Expedia photos is what you will see.」

「Check-in easy, but online - no reception, but nice communication through WhatsApp Kitchen dark and not cosy. Shared living room disgusting. Looked like the floor had not been cleaned for 3 years. Bathroom had a lot of black mold which is unhealthy. Room had only blue-ish ceiling lighting, that looked like something from a public bathroom for avoiding junkies. Temperature inside, around 10 degrees Celsius during December. Heating elements were sparse and insufficient.」

「There is no central heating in this place; A gas heater and a fireplace are available. The staff offered to start the heater, which we accepted, and a box of wood was provided for self-servicing the fireplace. The gas heater turned off after 10 minutes cause the gas tank was almost empty. On the other hand, I gave up on the fireplace after 90 minutes of successive failing attempts because the wood was extremely wet. The manager was absent and so was the owner. 「No staff at all to help with check in. No heat in the rooms and it’s freezing. Half the power was out in the room. No maintenance personnel to deal with power being out. Online checking took way longer than it should because their system kept failing. Pretty disappointing. This place has the potential to be really good if it was managed properly. Disappointed. 」
