So I can comment only on the room, which was fine with everything that you you would want, and the host who was very welcoming and solicitous. The Victoria cafe, close by, is excellent for breakfast.」

「I chose the Kings Arms for location and the olde worlde look of the rooms on their website. The location was perfect for our trip, however the hotel was not! Check in is at the bar - all ok. We were told no food being served on Friday night despite the website showing a bar b que style restaurant (the hotel info in the room said pizza but there was neither) They offered recommendations but we found our own. 「The hotel room is very worn and in need of repair and a refresh, the bathroom needed a good clean with discoloured grout and mould on the tiles, arms on sofa worn and dirty and the windows in the room have paint peeling off. The staff are friendly but are all clearly new and have little experience to ask the questions that guests have ie not being able to get a dinner reservation when you book with a dinner credit.
