「The cottage was very cosy and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was so comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean.」

We waited for over an hour and half for dinner and there was no advice on things to do on activities.」

We had a wedding to go to the next day and obviously wanted to look our best, not tired pale and wizzened. Thankfully, we were moved to another room far enough away, to not hear the pump. 「It was only a one night visit (we were going to Longborough opera) and we did not eat or even breakfast there. So I can comment only on the room, which was fine with everything that you you would want, and the host who was very welcoming and solicitous. The Victoria cafe, close by, is excellent for breakfast.」

「Excellent breakfast and staff were very helpful and friendly! Easy access to shops and minutes down the road was the entrance property to Blenheim palace! Woodstock is a pretty village!」

「Very old and dated room. The mattresses need to be updated as I slept with springs in my back all night. The windows opened fully on the first floor. This would be a hazard if you were travelling with small children. The bathroom lacked anywhere to hang your towels and really could have done with a clean. Good location and the bar downstairs was lovely with pool tables and darts.」
