I would highlight the incredibly friendly and gracious staff, who made me feel very welcome and looked after as a solo traveller, and made the beautiful dining experience even better. I enjoyed walking through the lovely nearby streets and forests - it felt very secluded and tranquil. "The guy that looked after us, Satoshi, was really nice and very accommodating- he didn't speak english and we didnt speak Japanese but we got by. It was end of season and very quiet feeling like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was beautifully presented and ample. He met uas at the station and dropped us off as well as taking us elsewhere as and when needed. A really good experience and we would return."

"They have a wonderful onsen with both indoor and outdoor options. It was especially beautiful this morning with snow covered trees. They have a lovely woman who does massages and who greeted me with a smile whenever our paths crossed. The hotel is right across from the train and bus station so getting around was very easy!"
