「When you first arrive the outside appearance of the hotel is terrible. Paint peeling off, name letters missing, and plaster falling off. However, all the public areas are excellent internally. I had a standard twin which was fine, although the shower was quite old and inflexible. The beds were very comfortable and so otherwise the room was fine. The sea view makes it!!!!! I stayed 6 days, so I felt my room should have been refreshed more than once, but that was a personal gripe. The food was...

「The photographs on the web-site give a good idea of the rooms and the hotel. The staff could not be more helpful. It is lovely to have fried bread at breakfast. Bonzai is a great Pan-Asian restaurant. 」

「The staff were so pleasant and helpful Breakfast had a good choice The room was clean overlooked the beach and had comfortable chairs. The only thing that let the room down was the mattress which was made of memory foam and was uncomfortable」

「The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. 」

「Das Frühstück war sehr gut. In unserem Bad ließ sich leider die Heizung nicht abstellen, deshalb mussten wir oft das Fenster öffnen und uns hat im Zimmer ein kleiner Tisch mit 2 Stühlen gefehlt. Wir haben uns einen zweiten Stuhl bei der Rezeption bestellt und auch bekommen. Wir waren mit dem Hotel und Service zufrieden und werden wiederkommen.」

「Had a truly lovely stay at the Trevelyan in Douglas - received a lovely welcome from Delia upon arrival; had a promenade / beachfront view from my 3rd floor room. Comfortable bed. No problems at all with the shared bathroom facilities either. What I would suggest though, is for basic tea/coffee facilities being provided to guests - either directly in their rooms, or at a central location (for example, in the common area on the ground floor). Thank very much once again !」

「Nice breakfast 😋 polite staff . Carpets need modernising in room . Shower needs redoing and tv 📺 needed fixing before letting out the room . Hair dryer towels and bathroom amenities all good 👍 Kettle tea coffee bottled water and biscuits all good 👍 would have been more pleasant if staff was available more and the bar was manned in the evenings .」

「A great sized room with all we needed. All areas were clean, staff were all lovely and very friendly. Great atmosphere in the bar area, comfortable and good range of food choices which were all very tasty. We didn’t use the breakfast room but it looked nice with plenty of tables available.We would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.」
