We also loved the trails near the river, which added a beautiful nature element to the stay. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding. "Lovely helpful staff. Nice kitchen area. Very good breakfast included. Good location. The only negative was that our windows rattled all night for our 3 day stay due to the wind which is very strong here at the top of the hill. "

"The location was beautiful with an incredible view of the volcano and surrounding landscape. The gardens were great for seeing wildlife and birds. The staff was kind and attentive and the breakfast options were delicious. The one working hot tub was so relaxing. Our room was clean and huge although a little dated. The driveway to the property was rough, but it was part of the adventure and we saw wild pigs, coati and lots of birds along the drive. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to return!"

"The place is very well laid out, with many accessible trails. However, the meals are expensive compared to other lodges we've visited. The location is excellent for birdwatching; there's a bird feeder installed, which is a real plus. However, the feeder is made of metal rods, which isn't very aesthetically pleasing for photography. It would be beneficial to redesign the feeder to incorporate natural branches, as other lodges do, which would allow for much better bird photos."
