「Booked 2 cottages for a 50th birthday celebration. 1 of the cottages the plates were filthy and there was a musty smell. The other cottage we kept getting locked out and having to get management out to open the door. We went for an evening meal and waited over 1 hour for the food to come and when it did the food wasn't great. The beer battered fish was so oily and the rump steak was the smallest piece of meat I've ever seen. Then when we checked out the receptionist asked how our stay was. When...

「This is a good hotel built at a Services Area suitable for breaks in between journeys. Staying in for one night is nit a bad idea except that its location is not that easy to find.」

「The common area was clean as was the linen. Staff was non existent did not realise was a self service accomodation. Parking was there but I did not need it. The room carpet could do with shampoo and the cupboard with dusting . The bathroom fixture though looked new could do with upgrade.. .」

「Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Only downside was the shower pressure was very up and down and went from very hot to very cold and couldn't get a constant temperature temperature (plus there was no toilet roll but guess that was just an oversight)」
