「Parking was excellent plenty of spaces. There was no chef so wasn't able to get anything to eat not even offered a sandwich and lift was broken but gentleman on reception did offer to help with any luggage」

「Super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and Spa excellent. Room Service Pizza Superbly Tasty. Bathroom Extra Fan annoyingly stays on for 30 mins after switching bathroom light off which is annoying when you're try to get to sleep. Ice Machine still broken since last visit one month ago.」

「Lovely friendly staff but they didn't seem to know anything. There was no mention about breakfast times and location etc on check in. We asked about the pool but the staff in the main building didn't know whether it was included or not (it's not). When searching for a hotel, I specifically selected Air Con as a filter, but what I didn't realise until too late, is the rooms that came up on my search don't have any - fortunately it cooled down the night we were there. Lovely big rooms.」

「Staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and the one meal we had in the restaurant was great too. It's a little old fashioned in style which adds to its charm. They started breakfast early due to people going to the Open golf which was helpful. Only small negatives were the mid week breakfast finish time of 8.30am which seems a bit early (although they did serve a couple at 9am with no fuss) and the shower flow was not great. Overall would recommend to others.」

「Very aesthetically pleasing hotel and room. Only downers were that the bar and restaurant were closed for a function. The room was nice and well sized. Would have been good to have had more bottles of water (just 1 small provided) room was very hot with no fan/AC and the road noise was awful, not a very good night sleep.」

「I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free.
