" One of the most unique and memorable hotels we’ve ever stayed at. You walk around without shoes, which immediately sets a calming, authentic Japanese atmosphere. The onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had—an incredible variety and beautifully prepared. Most importantly, the staff especially in the dining room, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay truly special. Our kids had a wonderful time. We would absolutely stay here again."

"This was a phenomenal hotel! The location is close to the subway, but the soundproofing is excellent. There are two major supermarkets one block away, convenience stores across the street, huge Starbucks, food court with excellent meals (Bivi). Within the hotel, you have every convenience you could want, even a shared microwave and public bath on the first floor. The elevators are fast, the rooms are exceptionally clean (I mean luxury hotel standards.) There’s a huge cafe next to the lobby. What’s also really nice is that you get some nice luxury touches in your room without the luxury price tag. The spa bathtub is absolutely worth it!! It’s an amazing value! If it were not for wanting my own kitchenette, I would keep staying here for two months."

"The staff were so friendly and helpful, we loved the traditional breakfast, they were accommodating to my husband who can’t eat fish. They have a courtesy bus that takes you to Arashiyama which I didn’t know and so glad they suggested. The futons are hard but I got used to them. They also said their onsen is tattoo friendly. But most of the place is in such a spectacular forest it was so pretty in the late autumn I will definitely be going back. "

"Breakfast was great, Onsen was very sufficient and had private and public areas which I appreciate. Guests on our floor were loud and the walls are thin, but hey, some tourists are like that and it’s not really the hotel’s fault. Everything else was perfect."

"One of the best hotels in Arashiyama. Spacious, modern rooms. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Special thanks to Ms Rinka. I lost my wallet while walking between a restaurant and the hotel, and Ms Rinka volunteered to take me to the police station and help me file the police report. Turns out someone had found the wallet and brought it to the police station, so I was able to retrieve my wallet and nothing was lost. Hats off also to the officers at the police station and the person who found the wallet."
