「Just a heads up for English speaking travelers, that only one peraon who worked there spoke a little English, which is understandable but just an fyi. It made check-in a little difficult. The shower did not really work. I was only there for a day. It is nice for a more rugged kind of place. A little run down, but unique. The people where nice and helpful despite the language barrier. Again, I am not saying the people who live in rual Costa Rica should know how to speak English of course, but...

「Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. 「Even that the road to get there is not in amazing conditions, if you have a 4x4 - tall car is totally worth it! The place and the nature around it is amazing, you feel like a VIP the staff is amazingly friendly and the food is incredible, we had so much fun, so many things to do that time is not enough. 「I tried contacting the property for a pickup but Liberia was in the midst of a rain storm and all their power was out. So taxied out and found my room was ready & waiting. Everything was clean and comfortable, the power was back on in about an hour and the restaurant opened. The food was great, quite tasty. This hotel is convenient to Liberia airport and a great inexpensive option when flying out the next day.」
