We’ve payed around 5000 dollars to enjoy 3 days and 2 nights, considering that we were star class, the check-in process was fine, they explained us our benefits, etc… During this period of time, the food was awful. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner is this So Cal Buffet, and the quality of the food was horrible. The food was cold, cheap, disgusting and even hard to even look at or swallow. The people next to the table even called the food ‘’ass’’. And I totally agree. The lunch menu was fine, totally what one could expect but still it was horrible. The dinner menu was very delectable, especially the traditional Costa Rican menu, the soup was delicious and it was a great meal. But don’t get me started on the staff at the buffet, the receptionist was really friendly, the waitresses too, they did their duties greatly. Some of the cooks had a bad attitude, they were dry, rude, serious. We were trying to reserve the sushi restaurant for a whole entire day, we tried to contact staff to help us reserve but they always told us that we needed to talk with the woman there. Still she was never there, we arrive there when she was supposed to be there and she still wasn’t there. When we arrived to the sushi restaurant, the food was salty and very hard to swallow. The customer service was awful in some parts of the hotel, some were nice but some weren’t even welcoming. This all-inclusive hotel isn’t worth coming from, we would never come back here ever again!

It was enjoyable. We liked staying there. We just had a few issues with the electric - AC, and hot water. There wasn’t much of a nightlife. But other wise everything else was great and we had a lot of fun.

My husband and I went with 3 other couples and 2 adult children for a week of birthday celebrations. 6 of us had Star level and the other 4 had regular accommodations. I would definitely recommend the Star level. Since we were a fairly large group and the majority were Star level our butler arranged for everyone to be together for meals in the Star restaurants. I can't say enough good things about our butler, Steven, he really went out of his way to be helpful and make our stay enjoyable even though he had to take on another staff members workload when that person called in sick. Steven made sure we all had what we needed and arranged a special Wine Cellar experience for our last night complete with birthday cake and champagne. At extra cost of course but it was well worth it. All of the staff made us feel welcome except the person checking us in on or arrival. He seemed like he did not really enjoy his job and was pretty hit or miss on giving us information. One group was told different versions of what to expect than the other and we were not given the welcome drink that the non-star level folks were. The Star restaurants were all quite good but the basic level food offerings were underwhelming. Buffets were standard fare and acceptable. Guy's Burger Joint was not at all good. Lunch offerings were limited and not at all what one would expect for the prices we paid. We had two meals in the sports bar, the fish and chips were great the first time but not the second time.

Property was nice staff was great. Upgrading to star class is a must. The food at the buffet is not good but the a la carte restaurants are good steakhouse by far the best. Website says they have a pool table but they do not. Drinks were really good especially at the lobby bar. I booked excursions from the guy at the beach a lot cheaper and the excursions were really good. Make sure you bring cash. I would definitely go back again

The pool was enjoyable. However, I did have a little issue w any food that I left in the room for later, was always removed and discarded. After being in the pool all day, you would want a little snack when u return to the room until dinner. The food that I had in the fridge was also discarded.

The room was not properly restocked daily- towels, not enough snacks and drinks for 5 people - we would get one pack of peanut m&m’s. The food was terrible and the juices and sodas were diluted. There is no perk for booking star class- we never saw our butler and he made us dinner reservations for 9pm but we showed up when we wanted to eat and it was no problem

The star class wasn’t worth the extra expense (we’ve done it at other Royalton properties and it was worth it) and the food wasn’t great. The country was beautiful and the Nexus excursion teams were fantastic. Would go back to Costa Rica but would not return to this property

The staff at Planet Hollywood are fantastic. Very inviting, friendly, accommodating, and truly display the idea of 'Pura Vida'. The food was delicious, the drinks were great and the entertainment staff did a phenomenal job. This wasy second time at this location and I'm positive there will be a third sometime soon.

Dear Planet Hollywood Management, I am writing to formally express our disappointment regarding our recent stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun from February 12th through February 16th. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations, especially considering the reputation and standards your resort promotes. On Thursday evening, February 12th, when we turned on the water while getting ready, a strong sewer odor came from the plumbing. The smell was overwhelming and very unpleasant. On Friday, February 13th, we had no hot water when preparing for our evening dinner. Additionally, on two separate mornings when we ordered room service for breakfast, it took over an hour and a half for our food to arrive. This significantly disrupted our plans and was very frustrating. On Saturday, February 14th, the sewer smell returned, and once again there was no hot water for our evening showers. To make matters worse, the power outlets in our room were not functioning properly, which meant I was unable to use styling tools. As a result, I had to attend dinner in wrinkled clothing due to not being able to properly prepare. Each of these issues was reported to the front desk at the time they occurred. Despite reporting them, the problems either persisted or reoccurred. Additionally, our room did not have the fragrant room spray oil that other rooms in our group received, which added to the feeling that our accommodations were not maintained.
