Nice resort, modern amenities. However I would have liked more walking trails on the resort to fully experience Costa Rica’s nature. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Black sand beach, no waves so kids spent most of their time in the pool. No ginger ale though which we found strange as we had everywhere else in Costa Rica.

V.I.P. director suite has no view at all. The view is of the building on the resort. Was told Expedia posted wrong pictures, even though the pictures are of the suite but the ocean view it shows is photoshopped. Was told we needed to downgrade the room for a better view but they were at capacity and that it could not happen. Butler/ personal agent service is virtually useless. Amenities described in resort post on Expedia are not given. No views from suite, no fruit basket in room on arrival. Room only has two bottles of wine, no liquors in mini bar. Wait staff at the pool is very slow if you can get service at all. When speaking with management they do not help, they just blame you for not understanding their misleading advertisement and blame Expedia. Do not recommend! Not worth the money!

This resort was a dream! From the min we got the staff was warm and welcoming and took care of us in every way imaginable. We had to wait for our room due to flying in so early and they were more than happy to check us in and hold our belongings until our room was available and we were able to enjoy the amenities they had to offer. We also booked all our adventures with the hotel and they made it so easy to book and attend. 10/10 recommend this hotel

The property was great! Our 10-year old daughter loved the kids club and we felt comfortable with her going to and from our room on her own. Food was good. The only challenge was getting reservations at the different restaurants. You will want to do this as soon as you arrive as they fill up quickly. There are other restaurants that don't require a reservation - like the buffet or the hamburger place. But the nice ones require a reservation.

We loved all the pools and the monkeys on the beach made the stay very special. The star class pool bar had the best drinks and snacks. We really enjoyed those! All the à la carte restaurants were excellent and the personnel very nice and hard working. The purple vibe party was so much fun.

Loved this place just from the beginning you literally fell like a star and since we entered until we left Christian the manager took care of us very well Just that the staff at the bar next to the swimming pool (in front of the spa) was a bit rude All the remaining staff was amazing be it in the restaurants or in the spa or the reception I would definitely return and take my whole family to it

Our stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every restaurant on the property delivered delicious food—yes, even the buffet! The Italian and Mexican restaurants especially stood out, serving us some of the best dishes we’ve ever had. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the incredible service. Josue from the cabanas went above and beyond—his attention to detail, friendliness, and genuine care made us feel truly pampered. Our personal agent, Daniel, was another standout. He was so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable—planning our trip with him was a joy, and we felt so well taken care of during our first time in Costa Rica. On our final night, we had an unforgettable dinner at the Sunset restaurant thanks to Jonathan. He created a personalized and delicious dining experience and was so personable, kind, and attentive. His service was the perfect way to end our trip. We also want to shout out Steven, Sofia, and Cristian at Sunset—each of them was so warm and helpful, adding to the incredible experience. We have to mention though, every single staff member we came in contact with was friendly, kind, funny and helpful. We had the best time during our first visit to Costa Rica and would recommend Planet Hollywood to all of our friends and family. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

This property is pretty secluded, and not walkable for exploring. You have to make dinner reservations at the restaurants which you can't do until you check in, and when we tried to do that there were no reservations available. We had to call and complain to get any reservations at the restaurants, so we wouldn't have to eat at the buffet every day with not great food. I wish they had non alcoholic beer options, but they did make good mocktails. Fuel was a lifesaver for coffee and snacks. The spa and gym were great. The room was very nice and quiet. The staff were awesome.

The staff was AMAZING. The Hotel manager introduced himself and went above and beyond to ensure an amazing stay. Five Stars is just not good enough to express how professional and incredible the staff is. I have travelled allover the world and the service my family and I received was unparalleled. The amenities were decent but I really expected alot more. All in All, I would return AGAIN AND AGAIN .. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

It was a beautiful property with very friendly, caring staff. It was not close to anything so any excursions had to have transportation. We especially appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of Steven and Sanchez, both went above and beyond to try to make sure our holiday was excellent.

What an amazing property! My friend and I had an incredible stay. We upgraded to Star level and were not regretful. The staff spoiled us the entire week we were there. Henry was our concierge and he made sure everything was perfect for us every day. Such a nice man and always willing to go the extra mile. The property itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and well laid out. We left our vacation feeling pampered and refreshed and we would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Ask for Henry when you do. You’ll love him too!
