(Just dont take the road to the lighthouse and then climb the scree over the hill: steep and dangerous). The room was excellent. Comfortable. Delicious dinner down stairs, and lucky for us on our night, a live singer providing a musical background atmosphere. She was lovely, and just the thing to elevate the evening to next level."

"We had an amazing overnight stay at the Annex. Nancy, the host, could not have been more welcoming, informative and helpful. The cottage was ideal for our particular needs - a rather last minute booking - and very clean and well equipped throughout. It was beautifully warm, and the property is set deep in a very beautiful part of lovely Exmoor. Would highly recommend this cosy cottage for a couple and reasonably priced as well. "

"We stayed in Monkey Island room, lovely clean room with great views loved the bath. . Very pet friendly and staff were great. Breakfast was really good. Would stay again if we are in the area"

"The room was spacious, very clean and the bathroom was lovely and clean couldn’t fault anything. We ate at the restaurant the meals were lovely and a good choice to choose from. The only thing that was not 5/5 was the breakfast I had a cappuccino from the machine which was luke warm and there was no conserves for the toast or croissants, I had the smashed avocado and poached eggs on a muffin which was ok the eggs were cooked perfect the hollandaise was lacking seasoning. But would definitely stay again because the place was stunning and the views were to die for."

"This was a wonderful stay, the staff could not do enough and when I expressed a question about whether I could stay another night, the young man looking after me went out of his way to rearrange, speak to his manager and make it so that I could stay in the same room. I slept really well, to the point of asking where they got their mattress and pillow from!"
