  • This is Dunster Castle, near Minehead in North Somerset. This is the view you get as you approach, and I just think it's such a beautiful sight, rising up out of the trees. There's an ancient castle, plus a more modern (as in 17th century modern) Manor House. The last residents gave it to the National Trust to look after. Dunster Village is also very pretty and worth a little wander through.

Fabulous

Fabulous bed and breakfast, lots of great ‘little touches’ like fresh milk for the room, chilled water and squash, fabulous breakfast with great choice and comfy beds. Lovely location in Dunster.

Dunster's #1 place to stay

Traffic and car problems meant we got there late, but they were very accommodating. Really nice couple running the place, really comfortable bed and great breakfasts.

Wonderful Exmoor Hotel

What an amazing hotel. Jane and James are excellent hosts, very friendly, and their attention to detail cannot be faulted. The rooms are very comfortable, and have little extras such as tiny tubes of suncream, cologne and soft fluffy towels. There is also fresh milk, squash, extra tea and coffee available at all times, including a fridge to store cold drinks and water. Our breakfast was very tasty along with fresh fruit, yoghurt and home made compotes. Jane makes great omelettes! I cannot recommend Exmoor Hotel enough and look forward to visiting again.

Great village stay

We were made very welcome, tea and cake on arrival. All staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, including smaller portions, which were great. Decor, very tasteful. Ideally situated in the village, a few steps from Dunster Castle. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Several excellent pubs and restaurants are close by, including Hathaways and the Foresters.

The Guest House was lovely, clean, comfortable, very friendly hosts, would stay there again. On your Hotels. Com website you mentioned parking but you did not mention parking on the road with Dunster being a small village so sometimes had to pay in a car park away from the Guest house, it didn't help as my wife has a blue badge.

The room was beautiful, very comfy and impeccably clean. The staff were really friendly and gave us helpful tips about the local area. The breakfasts were delicious! We would very happily stay here again. Due to the Covid situation the staff didn’t come into our room during our stay to change towels etc, but we actually preferred this; we felt like we had a lot of privacy. The system for providing tea and coffee refills for the room worked really well.
