「Agree entirely with a previous review. Not an hotel, just a B&B with bar and a very limited menu. The proprietess wanted to talk at us. The son, considerably older than 21, came up to us in the bar and said his mother would be with us soon to serve us drinks. Clearly he was not authorized to. Why? So we waited another 5 --10 mins for her to appear. No hot water in room - neither shower nor wash basin. Reactions were "we know one of the hot water timers is faulty, but it's nearly time for annual...

「A lovey 300 year old cottage. Beautiful rooms. Spotlessly clean. A full English breakfast sets you up for the day. Paula and Simon are wonderful hosts, very welcoming. We felt like we were visiting friends. Well located for getting around the area, Eden project and popular beaches and harbours a short distance away. 」

「My room was in the main building on the first floor, it was really clean and with a good offering of complimentary water and hot drinks.」

「Driving surface for access to hotel and in car park is rough and uneven. Hotel entrance and reception feels tired and in need of redecoration. Room 2 was very poor. It was very hot and only one window would open. Electrical sockets were hard to access or did not work. Furniture felt mismatched to room and oddly arranged. Kettle was practically hidden on a low table in the corner in order to be near a socket. Bathroom floor was in very poor state and needs replacing. Basin plug did not work...

「An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months」
